A bold, savory classic made with smooth Italian tomatoes. Clean, balanced, and all about the quality of the base.

 

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz vodka
  • 3 oz La Fonte Passata (Sieved Tomatoes)
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice (to taste)
  • 3–4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2–3 dashes hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Ice

To garnish

  • Celery stick, black pepper, or fresh herbs
 

Method

  • Fill a mixing glass or shaker with ice.
  • Add the vodka, La Fonte Passata, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Gently roll the drink between two glasses (or stir) to combine - avoid shaking too hard to keep the texture smooth.
  • Strain into a glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with celery and a crack of black pepper.

Adjust the balance to your taste - more lemon for freshness, more hot sauce for heat.

The smooth texture of passata gives a cleaner, more refined Bloody Mary compared to traditional tomato juice.
